Maus in the Park - the new chapter

If you visit this blog (none of you do, I check my Analytics) you might have seen that Projects page changed. As well as Projects Suspended. I have abandoned my wish to finally make playable version of Exalted. I might still have tried if not my players who decidedly refused to play in any version of Exalted. I think they got scared of the scale and power they'd wield. Well.

So instead of it there is something else. Something I am passionate about and have easy time (for now at least) to write. Mausritter + Blades in the Dark. Working title is Maus in the Park.

The scope is rather restricted for me. Basic FitD setup - actions, restistances, general special abilities. No playbooks - you all play as a Mouse - but unlockable faction-based special abilities where warrior-factions might give you Cutter-like abilities and so on. Item-based magic. I still need to figure out downtime, stress, load and possessions stuff but I'm getting there.

Also I want to make a sandbox setting already with it so I can plug and playtest with my group. I decided on it will be vaguely set in Tatra mountains, somewhere before the entry to one of the beautiful valleys we used to visit. But a little bit colourised. I plan a human camping field with dumpsters nearby with rat-led extraction operation, an abandoned car serving as a fortress against house-cat-lords and a metal+plastic mine, the pond and Frog Princedom with an agenda, and so on.

Considering that small adjustments of mechanics are not as exciting as bits of lore I think I might publish those like a microposts to keep myself to work on it instead of abandoning it like everything else in my life. Factions, regions, enemies, shit like that.

See ya later mousey skater!
