Blogroll

If you follow my blog you probably saw that I stopped doing Blogroll. It was a nice experiment but it was too hard for me to keep up. Most of the blogs I took from discord blogrolls, I forgot a ton of those I wanted to include and felt bad for missing stuff. I wanted to make it into a habit but turned out it's very hard. Like bookmarking blogs and websites. I don't remember and if I do I don't visit. I wanted it to compensate for lack of links to other blogs and media but turns out it is hard and I don't have the capacity for it. I don't refuse to make another one but it certainly won't be a regular thing. I might actually lean more into putting for today blogroll posts from the past, something one might've missed.

MyTraveller updates

I don't know why I stopped giving updated on MyTraveller project. I guess I got fixated on inspirations, quick thoughts and discussions on Mastodon that I forgot I should probably put it all here in order for some wide access to it. So I am working on two posts, one is terrible tinkering with combat system and another is setting finally on Careers and general vibe of the game. It helps that I do it in Polish and so even my non-English speaking friends will have easy time playing it. Probably. Hopefully.

Another posts

There was Appendix bandwagon recently and I decided not to participate, mostly because the topic bores me to tears. I don't find fun in finding my inspirations among someone else's, I don't have anything groundbreaking to share and I rarely see anyone who has.

There was also RPG Blog Carnival about use of AI which I didn't participate in because I had trouble putting my points together in a coherent thought. I think Panic Pillow did what I wanted to say the best https://tabletopcuriositycabinet.blogspot.com/2025/08/ai-and-gaming-fall-and-rise-of.html. You can check the carnival here https://ofdiceanddragons.com/good-morning-dave/

And we are in the middle of another Carnival, this time about Magic Rocks https://www.wobblerocket.com/2025/09/01/september-rpg-blog-carnival-magic-rocks/. For me it is potentially the time to revise my Blades in the Dark hack idea of Jadepunk - called Blades of the Nephrite. Magical material being in the center of the game feels fun. If I worked on it it would let me rewrite all the small things I didn't like about Fate's Jadepunk. Hardest part for me with it is that FitD fandom seems to be not that much into blogging but more into kickstarters and publishing, and very focused on the Discord and chatter there. And I'm allergic to Discord chatter, I got a note from a doctor (no I didn't).

I also have a few other posts lined on, mostly about monsters but it takes time for me to get many thoughts into one posts, and even then it's not that coherent so it will take time.

Additionally...

...I wanted to put here some of the sessions and adventures I participated in but I still don't have a good way to put it without making it terribly boring. Even for me.

...these updates also won't be regular, it will show up only when I have something big to share or something I think I should share.

World is wicked. Be strong out there.
